WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD EARN ALL-AMERICAN HONORS AT NATIONALS

WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Community College collected some hardware over the weekend as they competed at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships in Gainsville, FL. Southeastern qualified in two events, the Distance Medley, and the 4X800M relay. Southeastern runners Cassidy Yaley, Carissa Mackey, Arianna Pedrin, and Aisha Ramone was the lineup for both events for the Blackhawks. 

The Blackhawks placed 11th in the nation in the distance medley relay on Friday night with a time of 12:46.12. Not only did the Blackhawks achieve 11th in the nation, they also set a new Southeastern record. 

The Blackhawks picked up right where they left off on Saturday in the 4X800M relay, setting another Southeastern school record on the trip. Southeastern recorded a time of 9:30.80 in the 4X800M relay, setting the new school record and claiming 8th at nationals. The Blackhawks' 8th place finish solidifies the relay team as All-Americans. 

The Blackhawks are coached by Head Coach Lucas Keifer and assisted by Assistant Coach Cebastian Gentil. The Blackhawks along with coaches Keifer and Gentil will start their outdoor season March 28th at Emporia State.
