Crystal Colo joins the Southeastern Community College Blackhawk Volleyball coaching staff for her inaugural season, bringing with her a rich history in competitive volleyball and a passion for youth development both on and off the court.

Colo's volleyball journey began at Olympic College (2010-2011), where she played a pivotal role in leading the Rangers to the NWAACC Championships in 2011. Her outstanding performance earned her accolades as the Northwest Region All-Star and the Offensive Player of the Year for OC.

In 2015, Colo furthered her volleyball career at NCAA DII Central Washington University. During her tenure with the Wildcats, the team achieved an impressive 20-8 record, securing 2nd place in the West Regional against Cal State San Bernardino. Her competitive spirit and leadership were instrumental in these successes.

Post her stint with the Wildcats, Colo returned to Olympic College to pursue academic endeavors, earning an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education and an Associate of Applied Science - DTA. Concurrently, she nurtured her coaching skills by leading the Olympic Premier Volleyball Club in Bremerton, Washington. During her two seasons there, she coached the 14s and 15s age groups, guiding her 15s team to championships. Colo also contributed significantly as the head coach of the junior varsity team and assistant coach for the varsity team at Kingston High School.

In addition to her impressive volleyball and coaching portfolio, Colo has also dedicated her time as a professional live-in nanny across California and Mexico, where she honed skills in mentorship and child care—experiences that enrich her holistic approach to coaching.

Crystal Colo's diverse background, combining high-level volleyball experience with youth education and mentorship, positions her perfectly to inspire and develop young athletes. She is excited to bring her unique blend of skills and passion to the Blackhawk Volleyball program.
