West Burlington, Iowa- The Southeastern Community College Baseball Team signs a catcher to the 2018-2019 roster. Trent Hoogerwerf is a catcher out of Iowa City Regina Catholic High School. He led the Regals in batting average and doubles. Trent is an offensive leader for one of the top teams in the state as the Regals advanced to the state final last season.  "Catching is a top priority in this class as we lose our top two guys behind the plate.  We feel Trent has the ability to come in and fill those shoes as a freshman.  He has a chance to be a plus defender and an offensive presence in our lineup.  We hope he can continue to be another in a line of catchers that have developed in our program," says Head Baseball Coach Justin Schulte.
