West Burlington, IA-The Blackhawks traveled to Jacksonville Illinois for four games this weekend.
Game 1 - Hayden Malenfant took the mound for the Blackhawks in game one. Hayden cruised over his first two inning of work only allowing three baserunners in the first three innings of work, two of which were erased on double plays.
In the bottom of the second, the Blackhawks jumped into the lead by a leadoff single from John Mead, followed by RBI's from Macros Sanchez and an RBI double from Jason Matthews gave the Blackhawks 2-0 lead.
The lead was erased in the top of the fourth inning when Malenfant allowed 3 runs on two hits and a pair of walks. the score after four was 3-2. The score held for the next five innings during which Ben Friebel and Bryan Callaly combined for five innings of work and one hit.
The 3-2 score held to the seventh inning when Connor Pasko led the inning off with a pinch hit single, followed by Bryce Simon single of his own. Braeden Brown hit a fielders choice to tie the game up at 3 after both runners moved up on a ball in the dirt. Kevin Gomez came a few feet away from ending the game at that point with a double off the wall, but a great catch pushed the game into extra innings.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Braeden Brown hit a double and scored on a fielders choice by Kevin Gomez sliding underneath the tag to win the game.
Game 2 - Reigning ICCAC pitcher of the week, Chas Sagedahl, took the mound for the Blackhawks in game 2. Chas struck out the first nine batters he faced on the evening.
The Blackhawks took the lead in the top of the second inning when Josh Rawlinson scored Devin Buckner on a one out single to put the Blackhawks up 1-0. In the top of the third Rawlinson struck again with a two out, two strike three run homerun to put the Blackhawks up 5-0.
The story of the game was Chas Sagedahl as Sagedahl remained flawless throughout the game striking out 15 of 21 batters faced. Chas only reached a three ball count in 4 of the 21 batters in the game.

Game 3 - Jacob Curry took the mound for the Blackhawks in game 3.
In his second start of the season, Curry managed to face the minimum through four innings. Currys first and only hiccups happened in the fifth inning when he allowed one run on one hit. Trace Hoffman took over for Curry in the inning and struck out the lone batter saw on three pitches. In his next two innings of work, Hoffman only allowed one baserunner to reach.
The Blackhawks offense was stymied all day. In the bottom of the sixth inning, in a seven inning game, Jason Matthews reached base on a walk. He advanced on a wild pitch and then was moved to third on a fielders choice from Justin Hutter. With one out and the infield draw in, Braeden Brown drove the ball in the middle of the field for the game tying single.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Austin Martin singled, followed by John Mead reaching on an error, Dayson Croes was intentionally walked, bringing up Jason Matthews with one out in the inning. Matthews crushed a pitch over the right centerfield wall with a walk off grand slam.
Game 4 - In the fourth and final game of the weekend, Will Undershute took the mound for the Blackhawks against Highland Community College. Will was flawless through the first three innings retiring nine batters in a row.
The Blackhawks took the lead in the top of the third with a single from Marcos Sanchez scoring Jason Matthews who led the inning off with a double. The offense exploded in the fourth inning sending 11 hitters to the plate scoring 7 runs on 5 hits. Justin Hutter, Braeden Brown, Zeb Adreon (3) Marcos Sanchez and John Mead all recorded RBI's in the inning. The offense finished the scoring on a two run triple in the top of the 7th on a Marcos Sanchez triple. Hutter then scored Sanchez on a sacrifice fly.
For the second time in two days, the Blackhawks pitchers did not give up a hit. Will Undershute completed his no hitter with back to back strikeouts. Undershute's final line read 7 innings pitched, allowing zero hits, four walks and six strikeouts.
