Coach Gentil joined the Blackhawks in August 2023.

Competitively, Coach Gentil ran track and field at Iowa State University from 2018-2023. 

Gentil was a 5 time NCAA Division 1 National Qualifier as well as a 5 time NCAA Division 1 All-American. Gentil found himself scoring at the Big-12 Conference Championships 11 times, claiming a “runner up” position 2 times. Gentil put himself on the Iowa State top 10 chart 8 times ranging from the 400 meter to the Distance Medley Relay. Gentil played a crucial role in Iowa State’s Big 12 team championship in 2020 running the 600 yard and the 4x400 meter relay. 

Coach Gentil holds a B.A in Liberal Studies from Iowa State Univeristy.
