PETERSON NAMED TO REGION 11 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL THIRD TEAM

WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Community College Women's Basketball standout Danajah Peterson has made a name for herself on the court in her first season with the Blackhawks. Danajah was named to the region's third team all-region squad, the only Blackhawk to do so this season. One of Danajah's greatest strengths is her scoring ability. She consistently put up impressive numbers throughout the season, averaging 13.9 points per game for the Blackhawks. Her scoring prowess is a large part of why the Blackhawks were able to deliver several victories this season.

In addition to her scoring ability, Danajah is also a strong rebounder. Averaging 7.2 rebounds per game, she has a knack for grabbing boards and giving her team second-chance opportunities. Her rebounding skills make her an extremely well-rounded basketball player in Region 11.

In 25 games, Danajah racked up 348 points, 238 of which came from conference play. Danajah's highest scoring performace was 25 points, of which she did twice. Danajah had a keen eye for the Blackhawks knocking down threes, as well as getting to the rim. Danajah's scoring ability helped teammates out as well, creating opportunities for others as defenders collapsed. Danajah averaged 2.4 assists per game this season, with her highest total being 6 against Jefferson College.

Danajah's hard work and dedication to her craft have not gone unnoticed. Her impressive stats and contributions to the Blackhawks have earned her recognition as one of the top players in Region 11. With her scoring ability, rebounding skills, and overall talent on the court, Danajah Peterson is a player to watch out for as she moves on to the next level.
