West Burlington, IA-Southeastern's goalkeeper Alfred Schindler came up big in a 3-2 win over Iowa Lakes last week and kept the Blackhawks in the game against No. 2 ranked Iowa Western. In the two games, Schindler made 13 saves in 180 minutes of play. He came up big against Iowa Lakes, especially in the last 15 minutes when Iowa Lakes sent wave after wave of attacks to try and equalize down 3-2. Then against Iowa Western, he stopped four shots before the lone goal came in the last 30 seconds after a failed clearance kept the ball in the Reiver's attack zone. Southeastern, with the win over Lakes, secured a spot in the Region XI Tournament for the first time in the second year of their program's history.
