The Blackhawks track & field team competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday, February 12^th. For the women, freshman Allie Simpson competed in both the 400m and 800m. She finished 5^th overall in the 400m with a time of 1:06. She then snagged a 3^rd place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:34. Fellow freshman Lauren King finished 14^th in the 800m (3:05) and 16^th in the mile (6:43). Thalia Thomas also ran in the 800m and mile, finishing in 12^th and 10^th.

On the men's side, the 4x200m relay team of; Michael Mosena, Daron Jackson, Carl Joseph and Lucas Woodside. Had the top finish on the track finishing 2^nd  with a time of 1:37. Daron Jackson also competed in the 400m, 200m and Long Jump. He finished 9^th in the 400m (53.26), 26^th in the 200m (24.85) and 8^th in the long jump (6.17). Michael Mosena ran the 200m and 400m also finishing in 20^th and 16^th. Carl Joseph ran in the 60m, 200m, and 400m. He finished 38^th in the 60m, 36^th in the 200m. Lucas Woodside competed in the 60mh, 200, and 400. He advanced to the finals in the 60mh finishing 7^th with a time of 9.55. He finished 21^st in the 200m (24.38) and 20^th in the 400m (57.18). Gerson Civil ran in both the 60m and 200m. Gerson finished 37^th in the 60m and 37^th in the 200m.

The Blackhawks are back in action this weekend at the Region XI Championship held at Buena Vista University, in Storm Lake Iowa.
