West Burlington, IA- The SCC Softball team finished out the regular season schedule at home last night while picking up two wins and honoring the four sophomores who will exit the program after this semester.  The Blackhawks took two wins against Monmouth JV winning 9-1 and 10-3.  Before the game, all four sophomores were honored along with their families.  After the conclusion of game 2, the Blackhawks hosted a BBQ for the coaches, players and families.  Coach Flores had this to say about the night, "Yesterday was a great day had by all.  The freshman displayed a great amount of teamwork to make the day very special for our sophomores.  We will miss the four sophomores, but wish them good luck in their future success.  Ending the regular season games like this was a good thing.  Now we need to focus on two more practice to prepare for our Regional Tournament."  The Blackhawks earned 3rd place in the conference and will face Iowa Western this Friday, April 27th at 1:00 pm. The ICCAC Division I Regional Tournament is hosted by the 2018 ICCAC Conference Champions Indian Hills.  This is a double elimination tournament.  Winner will advance to the District round to face the Region 16 winner located in Missouri.
