A Natural Occurrence For Aisha Ramone

Ames, Iowa - Southeastern Community College freshman phenom, Aisha Ramone, has done everything as a Blackhawk in the program besides win a USATF Masters 5k. There are definite beliefs that obtaining this goal is par for the course, as this young runner has gathered some exceptional awards in her first couple of months as a collegiate student-athlete, and this is just the beginning. Throughout this season, she has been named NJCAA ICCAC Athlete of the Week three different times, and that number will keep increasing and increasing as weeks and years go on. Yesterday, October 14, at the Indian Hills Invitational, Ramone proved as to why she is in the top tier of runners in this conference. She placed third overall in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 19.30.9. The SCC women's team sustained a second place finish at this event.
