HEARTLAND RELAYS

WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern men's and women's cross country opened their 2023 season competing at the Heartland Relays. 

A few notable performances from the Blackhawks include a fourth place finish from Aisha Ramone & Cassidy Yaley, recording a time of 38:46. This time is the 10th-best in the all-time results for this event. Another strong performance came from Carissa Mackey & Brooklyn Moehle, who placed 8th with a time of 40:35. Additionally for the Blackhawks, Ella Shroeder & Arianna Pedrin placed 12th with a time of 41:45.

On the men's side, Brooks Julian & Jeff Campbell recorded the top time for the Blackhawks with a time of 43:40, claiming 12 th place. Not far behind were Josiah Teller & Freddy Vergara who came in 17th place with a time of 45:02. Additionally for the Blackhawks the duos of  Cauy Garrett & Mason Hills-Carrier, and Tyler Johnson & Brian Velazquez placed 28th and 29th, respectively. 

The Blackhawks' next competition will be the Corridor Clash at Mount Mercy on Friday, September 1st.
