WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Cross Country's Zada Buchholtz and Parker Quinlan took ICCAC Athlete of the Week honors for September 2nd through the 8th in DII Cross Country. 

Quinlan, a freshman for the Blackhawks, finished in 31st place at the Dutch Invite in Pella, IA this past week. Quinlan ran 20:43 in the 6K, a 5:33 minute mile pace. This was Quinlan and the Blackhawks' second competition of the young season. The Blackhawks look to continue their strong running throughout hte season following a Region 11 DII Championship in the year prior. 

In addition to Quinlan, Zada Buchholts took Athlete of the Week in DII women's cross country in region 11. Buchholtz ran a time of 22:08 in the 5K and placed 42nd out of 84 runners in a race with several four-year universities. Like Quinlan, Buchholtz is also a newcomer on the defending Region 11 Champion SCC Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks' next event is September 27th, when they travel to the University of Missouri.
