WEST BURLINGTON - Emily Murphy joins the Blackhawks as an assistant coach in July 2024. Murphy carries an extensive career playing soccer at a high level. A 2018 Burlington High School graduate, Murphy is a member of the athletics hall of fame for her high school soccer success. After high school, Murphy attended Indian Hills Community College where she holds the record for most goals in a career, season, and game. Additionally, Murphy has the career points record, and lands top 5 in numerous assist records at Indian Hills.
After graduating from Indian Hills in 2020 with an associate of arts degree, Murphy continued her playing career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Murphy was a consistent offensive threat for the Phoenix recording the most points and goals on the team in 2020, and the most assists in 2022. Murphy would eventually graduate in 2023 with her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Green Bay.
In addition to her college career, Murphy played professionally in Iceland for Volusungur, and currently plays in the USLW league.
