SCC Advances in National Tournament

All five starters were in double-figures as Southeastern rolled past Snead State 75-49 in the opening round of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. The Blackhawks raced out to an early 13-2 lead in the opening minutes, only to have the lead shrink to 35-31 at Halftime. In the second half, the defense locked down Snead holding them to 5-30 shooting and outscoring the Parsons 40-18 in the second half to cruise to victory. Deng Deang led SCC with 19, while Jaylen Searles chipped in 15. The Blackhawks advance to play #3 seed Odessa at 6pm at Hutchinson Sports Arena on Wednesday.
