There's a whole lot of "wes" that can be said, as this Southeastern Community College men's soccer squad has risen and fallen together since day one with total solidarity. On Sophomore Day, the SCC men defeated the North Iowa Area Community College Trojans in a topsy-turvy double overtime blindsider. With the game at a solid tie and 2.5 seconds left, Joep De Bruin, (De Meern, Netherlands/So.) took matters into his own hands and gave the crowd a heroic act that will never be forgotten within the Blackhawks men's soccer program. He placed his head in the right place at the right time, and nodded it into the back of the net to punch in a 2-1 victory.
