Christina Norton brings more than 17 years of coaching experience and a history of developing successful programs and student-athletes to Southeastern Community College.

Norton comes to SCC after serving on the coaching staff at Colby Community College during the 2025 season. Prior to Colby, she spent seven seasons as Head Volleyball Coach at Cibola High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she established one of the state's premier volleyball programs.

During her tenure at Cibola (2018-2025), Norton led the Cougars to three District Championships (2018, 2019, and 2023) and five consecutive top-four finishes at the New Mexico Class 5A State Tournament, including a State Runner-Up finish in 2023. Under her leadership, ten student-athletes advanced to compete at the collegiate level across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and junior college programs.

Before taking over at Cibola, Norton coached at Rio Rancho High School, her alma mater, from 2009 to 2016. During her time with the Rams, the program captured the 2009 State Championship and finished as State Runner-Up in 2014.

As a player, Norton was a three-year varsity letter winner at Rio Rancho High School, helping lead the Rams to back-to-back state championships in 2005 and 2006. She continued her playing career at Midland College from 2007 to 2009 on a volleyball scholarship.

In addition to her high school coaching success, Norton has coached club volleyball for more than a decade, working with athletes ages 10-18. Her club teams earned multiple Top 10 finishes at national tournaments and consistently competed at an elite level.

Norton's passion for player development, competitive excellence, and fostering a positive team culture makes her a valuable leader for the SCC volleyball program as she works to build the future of Blackhawk Volleyball.
