Former Blackhawk Arturo Disla has signed a free agent deal with the Texas Rangers.
During his time at SCC, Disla was a second team All-American after posting a .343 batting average and recording 17 home runs in Spring 2021. Disla played in 51 games in 2021, and recorded 66 RBIs and 37 runs. In 2021 the Blackhawks posted a record of 42-21 before losing in the Region XI Championship to Kirkwood.
Following Southeastern, Disla transferred to Wayland Baptist University where he played for two years. Disla recorded a .428 batting average last season with 71 hits and 62 RBIs. Disla was an All-American and All-Conference player for Wayland Baptist.
