Sheena Abbott, MS, LAT, has been the Athletic Trainer for the Blackhawks since 2005. A 2004 graduate of Upper Iowa University, Sheena has seen her responsibilities grow in her time at Southeastern. Sheena started as the athletic trainer for the Southeastern Men's Basketball team before adding the responsibilities of covering all programs within the athletic department. In addition to her contributions in the athletic department, Sheena also serves as the Manager of Athletic Training at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center. This program provides athletic training services to six area high schools.
In 2012, Sheena earned her master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from CalU in Pennsylvania. 2012 also marked her first year as an adjunct instructor at Southeastern, teaching a variety of health-related classes including Basic Athletic Training and Care and Prevention Athletic Injuries.
