Ankeny, Iowa- The Blackhawks men's and women's cross-country teams opened up their season by competing at the Grand View Cross Country Open at the DMACC Cross Country course on Saturday September 5^th, 2020.

With the men's cross country team starting the fall sports season. The men's team had three runners compete in the Viking Opener. Dylan Steele (FR/Woodward, IA) finished 49^th  after running a 18:36. Owen Timmerman (FR/Mediapolis, IA) finished 64^th after running 19:24, and Andrew Huhuyana (SO/Zimbabwe) finished 78th^th after running 22:07.
