West Burlington, Iowa - There's a wise saying that says, "It's not how you start, but it's how you finish." Let's spice things up and add a tiera, "Tough times don't last, tough people do." Let's put the icing on the cake with this one, "Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen." On Sophomore Day, the Southeastern Community College women's soccer team endured some detrimental debris throughout both halves in their match against the North Iowa Area Community College Trojans. However, towards the very end of the second half, the Blackhawk women turned on their playlist and put a damper on the blue colored Trojans with two penalty kicks (PK's) made by Gemma White, (Portadown, Northern Ireland/So.) SCC instantly began moving in the right direction and stepping up all elements of their play. With that being said, the Blackhawks couldn't finish listening to this upbeat song and fell to the Trojans, 5-3.
