MEN'S BASKETBALL RALLIES FOR WIN OVER SAUK VALLEY, PREPARES FOR INDIAN HILLS SATURDAY

WEST BURLINGTON - The Southeastern men's basketball team continued their winning ways with a hard-fought 76-68 victory over Sauk Valley. The team was led by sophomore center Olajuwon Ibrahim, who poured in 30 points to lead all scorers in the game. Ibrahim's scoring outburst was crucial in securing the win for the team, as he was able to consistently score from the inside.The victory over Sauk Valley was an important one for Southeastern, as it helped them maintain their momentum heading into a crucial conference matchup against Indian Hills. 

As they prepare for their upcoming game against IHCC, the team will rely on continuing their offensive success from the inside, while also adding consistency from long range. Jacob Franklin led all SCC guards in scoring as he poured in 18 points of his own against Sauk Valley, and went 4-5 from 3 point range. The Blackhawks led Sauk Valley in rebounding in Saturday's matchup, 43-25, which will be a huge emphasis heading forward this season.

Indian Hills currently stands at 21-5 overall and 3-0 in conference headed into Saturday night's matchup. Indian Hills will play Sauk Valley Wednesday night prior to the matchup with SCC. Indian Hills is led in scoring and rebounding by Trevion LaBeaux, who recorded 14 points and 17 rebounds against Southeastern in their January 20th matchup. The Blackhawks will look to minimize the second chance points created by LaBeaux, as well as teammate Chris Mpaka on the glass. 

Tipoff for Saturday night's matchup is set for 7:00PM in Ottumwa.
