Women's Basketball Honors Sophomore Players

Keokuk, IA- The SCC Women's Basketball team played their last home game of the regular season schedule on Wednesday, February 28th and also honored the sophomores from the team before the game. Natalie Robinson is from Madison, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Ingrid Robinson. She is being escorted by Dr. Shonteria Johnson. After SCC, she would like to major in Business Administration and continue her academic and athletic career. Her best memory with SCC women's basketball is having dance parties in her dorms. She would like to thank her Hawk parents, Mark and Mary Phillips for making her college career outstanding!

 

Ciera Walker is from Casa Grande, Arizona. She is the daughter of Steve and Karie Sanchez. She is being escorted by Mark Phillips. After graduation from SCC, she would like to continue her academic and athletic career, and major in Biology to become a small animal veterinarian. Her best memory with SCC women's basketball was listening to her teammates rap battle on the bus ride home after a game. She would like to thank her parents Steve and Karie and her family back home for encouraging and loving her throughout the years. She would also like to thank her hawk parents for being there for her on and off the court. She would also like to thank the fans for always supporting the team and being an amazing crowd!

 

Nadirah Oakman is from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is the daughter of Kevin Oakman. She is being escorted by her Hawk parents John and Helen Davis. After graduation from SCC, she plans to go to a 4 year college to continue her academic and athletic career, and save the world! Her best memory with SCC women's basketball was eating tacos at Pezley's house. She would like to thank Coach Jerome for never letting her settle, and for always being her biggest critic.

 

Makenzie Pezley is from Keokuk, Iowa. She is the daughter of John and Debbie Pezley. After graduation from SCC, she plans to major in elementary education at a 4 year college or university and while continuing her athletic and academic career. Her best Memory with SCC women's basketball is throwing a surprise birthday party for teammate Nana. She would like to thank her family, past and previous coaches, and teammates for always supporting her and pushing her to be the best she can be. She would also like to thank all of you Blackhawk fans, for being supportive of SCC women's basketball every game. Also, a huge thank you for her parents for traveling countless miles and always supporting and believing in her.
