West Burlington, Iowa - The Southeastern Community College volleyball team stood their ground in a match-up against highly ranked Des Moines Area Community College. There was vigilance from every Blackhawk player, making this match a riot to watch from set to set. The team was just clicking at all the right times and brought the heat from every position on the floor. SCC upset the #20 ranked DMACC Bears, 3-1, and it couldn't have come at a better time. "This is a big win for us, especially against a #20 ranked team," SCC coach Michelle Glass said. "This is the first ranked team we've beaten this season. It came on at the best time, right as the season is ending."

Lamecia Schaerrer–Set things up nicely on the night and concluded the evening with 54 assists. 

Raevyn Russell–Had a versatile night with 26 kills and 14 digs. 

Ayaka Yoshioka–Was an unstoppable lawn mower and finished with 31 digs.
