SOUTHEASTERN SWEEPS JOHN WOOD, ST. AMBROSE JV IN TRIANGULAR

WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Community College volleyball won both matches Friday night by a score of 3-0. These wins push the Blackhawks to 19-14, with 7 games remaining. 

The Blackhawks showed a dominant display throughout the night. Several Blackhawks had impressive kills all throughout the night thanks to an array of Blackhawks. Brianna Hernandez led the pack with 11 kills in the first game against John Wood. Mckenna Marlow and Lillian Simpson were the next closest with 8 and 7, respectively. Currently Lillian Simpson is 3rd in the nation in kills with 399.

The Blackhawks also had an impressive showing of attack on serves. Lamecia Schaerrer was responsible for 8 aces between the two matches Friday night. Currently, Lamecia Schaerrer is 4th in the nation in DII service aces. Not only is Lamecia Schaerrer on the national leaderboard for service aces, but she is also #1 in the nation in total assists.

The Blackhawks' next game is tonight at 7:00PM against William Penn JV. The Blackhawks currently sit at 8th place in the ICCAC with 4 conference games remaining in the regular season.
