West Burlington, IA –The Southeastern Community College Men's Basketball team has been selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as one of the NABC Teams of the Week for games played January 1-7, 2018. At 16-2, the Blackhawks started off 2018 by defeating John Wood Community College 69-61, extending their winning streak to 10 games. In the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball poll, Southeastern was receiving votes and looks to crack the top 25 in this week's poll.  The Blackhawks are coached by Lorenzo Watkins and will face defending NJCAA Division II National Champions Southwestern Community College at home on Tuesday, January 9th. SCC will finish out the week playing their first conference game against undefeated Indian Hills Community College.   The University of Colorado, Bellarmine University, Lebanon Valley College, and Indiana University East were schools also selected as a part of  NABC Teams of the Week.
