FORMER BLACKHAWK PITCHER HAYDEN COOPER SIGN WITH THE NEW YORK METS

Former Blackhawk Hayden Cooper signed a free agent contract with the New York Mets.

Cooper, a right handed pitcher from St. Simons Island Georgia, pitched for the Blackhawks from 2020-2022. During his two years at Southeastern, Cooper made 18 appearances on the mound, boasting an 8-5 record with an average ERA of 4.11. In addition, Cooper recorded 81 strikeouts for the Blackhawks.

Following Southeastern, Cooper had two separate one-year stints at SIUE and West Virginia University, respectively. This past season for the Mountaineers, Cooper made 17 appearances on the mound where he recorded 32 strikeouts in 52.0 innings pitched.
